What are Ampoules?
Ampoules are concentrated versions of the classic serums you may be used to using in your current skincare routines.
The active ingredients are usually formulated at a highly concentrated level and designed for optimum tolerance for the skin to receive them Without causing irritation. They help to target ongoing issues such as fine lines, dullness and uneven skin texture and tone, to name a few.
Below I explain the science behind their A B C Ampoules and how to use them to get the best results.
Ampoule A - Lift
0.3% Vitamin A Pure & Gradual Release Retinol
Vitamin A is known as the leading anti-ageing active ingredient that helps to regenerate the epidermis. The skin will feel smoother, resulting in a more refined texture after 7 days of using the serum.
By adding retinol to your skincare routine, you will notice a renewed, younger-looking complexion, a remarkably smoother appearance, and a noticeable feeling of firmness.
SVR’s unique formula The combination of two forms of Vitamin A, including a 0.1% Pure Retinol and a 0.2% encapsulated retinol. The retinol is encapsulated in phospholipid. Phospholipids are lipids that form cell membranes. The encapsulation ensures a slow release of retinol (similar to those in skin cells). It is continuously released at each level of the epidermis, to deliver optimal tolerance even for sensitive skin conditions.
Both forms will gently refine the skin surface and regenerate the epidermis. How to use
The light milky emollient formula can be added by the dropper to your current evening moisturiser to customise or optionally you can apply a few drops directly to your skin. It gently diffuses its active ingredients into the skin for a visible result within 7 days for skin that is as smooth as it is comfortable. My thoughts
Even though the concentration of the vitamin A is high I found that there was no irritation upon application. It glided on well underneath my evening moisturising cream. I like that you can customise your own moisturiser by applying a couple of drops and would recommend this method if you do have sensitive skin. The added glycerin, squalane, soybean and vitamin e ensure hydration is not compromised. By stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, it acts like a micro-lift, encouraging the skin to feel and look firmer.
Ampoule B3 - Hydra
5% Vitamin B3 + 3 Hyaluronic Acids
This Ampoule focuses on repairing and strengthening the skin barrier. Also known as niacinamide it helps to prevent water loss and retain skin's moisture content. It's also known to increase keratin. The formula also consists of 3 different Hyaluronic acid molecules have a unique capacity to bind and retain water molecules, whilst soothing the skin.
SVR’s unique formula
Niacinamide (B3) is at a 5% concentrate to repair damaged skin. The 3 hyaluronic acids with different molecular weights (medium, high and very high), will intensely, reinforces and plump a dehydrated skin.
Its minimalist formula containing only 12 ingredients and no fragrance is specifically designed for sensitive skin.

How to use
Apply 2-3 drops from the dropper into palms of hands and apply directly to the skin. Press and smooth. Alternatively customise your current morning or evening moisturiser by adding two drops and mixing then apply to your skin.
My thoughts I found this serum a lot thicker than ones I have used previously and found it glides better over slightly damper skin. My skin responds well to both Niacinamide and Hyaluronic so I love when they are combined together in a serum. I alternate and use this morning and/or evening and find that it helps make my skin look plumper and also helps treat areas of my skin that needs repairing after hormonal acne scaring from my previous babies.
Ampoule C Anti-Ox
20% Optimised Vitamin C
This highly concentrated Ampoule contains a 20% vitamin c to instantly protect the skin from the environmental aggressors that cause premature skin ageing, restoring energy to the skin, revealing a radiant even toned complexion.
Vitamin C is great for a dull, tired looking complexion. Skin tone looks even whilst tackling the signs of ageing, leaving the skin luminous.
SVR’s unique formula
Vitamin C is one of the hardest ingredient components to stabilise, which can result in the ingredient becoming less effective over time and oxidising.
SVR selected an optimized form. 20% of this optimized Vitamin C is equivalent to 17% of pure Vitamin C. Its structure is similar to Vitamin C and offers the same properties as pure Vitamin C but is stable and effective over time. Once opened you have 9 months to use it.

How to use
Apply a few drops in your morning and/or evening routine to your skin before applying your chosen moisturiser.
My thoughts
This serum smells fresh and not overpowering like some vitamin c serums. It is very light and instantly absorbs into your skin without any tackiness so you can apply your moisturiser and spf directly afterwards. The glycerin and Sodium Hyaluronate help boost hydration levels while it’s on the skin. I like to use this serum as part of my morning routine, especially as it provides additional protection to the skin from pollution and environmental aggressors. After 7 days of applying the serum I felt my skin looked brighter and more even in tone.
